Dear Mr. Hutchinson,

I ought to hang my head in shame but being that you are the understanding type of person Ifll hold it up high. Really and truly, Ifm very sorry that I havenft written to you sooner, but wefve been kept so busy that our time to ourselves was very limited.

Most of the boys that left from school remained together at Dix then most of us were shipped out here in Atlantic City, Army Air Force Technical Training Center #7.

Wefve completed our 56 days of training and are now we shipped to schools. About ? the fellows have already departed from Atlantic City. Among them were Paul Fernandez who was shipped to Chanute Field, Ill. as a weather observer. Bill Peterson shipped today, George McCarthy is an Aviation Cadet and is stationed in Vermont. There are many others but we donft know where they were sent.

The post is very deserted as far as soldiers are concerned, therefs just about a handfull compared to what was here when I arrived. According to the papers the army will clear out of here by the 16th of Aug. Army officials have said that this is a poor place to train men because of so many civilians being presents.

Frank Sweet is one of my room mates and he has passed the cadet exam and is also waiting shipment. At present Abe Resnick is sitting across the table from me writing a a letter. He sends his best regards to you.

Ifve been classified as a mechanical instrument mechanic, but, according to the shipping roster I am classified as an Electrical Repair & Replacement mechanic, and am Ifm going to an advanced training school: I suppose they want to get me overseas in a great hurry.

Well, I guess therefs not much more to write. Please excuse this poor grammar, & penmanship as Ifm in a great hurry.

Regards to all the faculty,

As ever friendly
